Zero Cloud Processing • 100% On-Device

Document processing rebuilt with uncompromising privacy.

DocuShrink was engineered to solve a fundamental security flaw of the modern web: the unnecessary transmission of confidential contracts, tax declarations, medical records, and personal IDs to remote third-party cloud servers for simple file operations.

WebAssembly Engine

High-performance C++ and Rust compilation streams allow PDF rasterization, image downsampling, OCR text scanning, and document parsing directly within your local hardware RAM.

Zero Server Ingestion

Your files never travel across the internet. When you select or drop a document onto DocuShrink, bytes are loaded into an ephemeral browser ArrayBuffer and destroyed immediately when you close the tab.

True Offline Operation

Equipped with a comprehensive Progressive Web App (PWA) service worker cache, all 24 tools function seamlessly on airplanes, remote field sites, or secure air-gapped corporate networks.

Our Motivation

The problem with conventional cloud converters

For years, consumers and businesses needing to compress a large PDF for an email or sign an employment agreement had only two choices: purchase costly desktop software licenses, or upload confidential paperwork to free cloud converters.

Traditional cloud converters receive your complete unencrypted document on their remote Linux servers. Even when services advertise "files are deleted after one hour", your sensitive data has already passed through network transit, remote temporary volumes, and potential third-party backup logs. For law practices, healthcare providers, accountants, and privacy-conscious individuals, this represents an unacceptable compliance and liability hazard.

DocuShrink was engineered to prove that modern browsers are fully capable operating systems. By leveraging JavaScript TypedArrays, Web Workers, HTML5 Canvas, and WebAssembly compilations of trusted open-source engines (PDF.js, PDF-Lib, and Tesseract.js), complex document transformations occur right inside the client sandbox at native speeds.

Pushpendra Sharma

Founder & Principal Engineer

Pushpendra designed DocuShrink with a strict architectural philosophy: code should run where data lives. As the creator of both the DocuShrink Web suite and the DocuShrink Android mobile application (trusted by thousands of users worldwide and available on Google Play), Pushpendra manages ongoing maintenance, cryptographic verification, and browser compatibility testing.

Every tool on DocuShrink is subject to rigorous regression testing against edge-case PDF standards, including ISO 32000-1 vector structures, JBIG2 and CCITT facsimile compression formats, CMYK color profiles, and PDF/A archiving conventions.

Security Architecture

How DocuShrink executes without server uploads

DocuShrink does not operate backend conversion servers, compute clusters, or cloud storage buckets. When you execute an operation on DocuShrink:

1. In-Browser Memory Pipeline

Files dropped into DocuShrink are read via the browser's native FileReader.readAsArrayBuffer() into a sandboxed RAM allocation isolated strictly to your active browser tab.

2. Web Workers & WASM

Heavy document operations—such as JPEG compression downsampling, True Redaction rasterization, and OCR character extraction—run inside background Web Worker threads to keep your browser UI completely responsive.

3. Network Isolation Verification

You can verify network isolation at any time by opening your browser's Developer Tools (F12) → Network Tab, disconnecting your internet, and executing any operation. Zero outbound file payloads are transmitted.

4. Instant Memory Garbage Collection

Output documents are serialized as standard Blobs and triggered via local URL.createObjectURL() downloads. Revoking object URLs and tab closure immediately returns memory to your operating system.

Monetization Transparency

How DocuShrink remains 100% free

Many document websites rely on predatory paywalls, restrictive daily quotas, or secret monetization of uploaded user data. DocuShrink operates with full transparency:
