All file operations — including conversion, compression, cropping, OCR, and page editing — happen 100% locally inside your web browser.
2. No File Uploads or Processing on External Servers
Unlike traditional document converters, DocuShrink uses client-side technologies (WebAssembly, Canvas API, and modern JavaScript engines) to execute document transformations on your local CPU. When you drag and drop or open a file on DocuShrink:
The file data remains exclusively within your browser's private memory space. It is never transmitted across the network to our servers, third parties, or cloud storage.
Because processing is entirely local, neither DocuShrink nor any third party has access to the documents or images you select, convert, compress, or view.
